"Headgear of the World"
September 1st was the opening of the museum's "Headgear of the World" exhibit. This 5200 sq. foot exhibit, displays over 700 of the
finest military hats and helmets seen anywhere in the world. Many man hours were spent renovating this exhibit hall.
The entire room
had to be redone - ceiling replaced, walls taken down, display boxes built, electric rewired, glass installed, UV/IR track
lighting installed,
carpeting installed, and more of that green paint. Well over $80,000 in renovation costs were spent on this project.
Then came the real
fun of checking the inventory of all these artifacts, cleaning them, and then placing them on exhibit.
Below is a small sample of some of the very unique and outstanding artifacts that are displayed in this exhibit.
